Thank you very much for your visit to our website.
UCHIGO and SHIZIMI are the names of my cats that I have cherished and adored for a long time.
The purpose of establishing this gallery is not only to introduce works by veteran artists, but also to contribute in lending a helping hand to young-and-talented Japanese artists, whom carry the future of art in Japan, so that they are not left undiscovered and are able to grasp the opportunity to shine.
The context behind this objective probably lies in my own experience, of the setback that I had as a high-schooler. I had a dream of becoming an artist, but given the opposition from my parents, who were business people, I had to give that up.
It may be said that this gallery stands on my twisted wish of inferiority complex, that the young artists seek retribution for my lost life of indifference, ever since I lost that dream that day.
Leaving all jokes aside, it is my wish and the gallery’s aim to provide relation and opportunity to the artists so that they are able to express their talent and passion. We will work hard in fulfilling our wish with support from my seniors and friends.
